*The Lady Strikers of coach Jun Actub are now in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental preparing to represent the Northern Mindanao Athletic Association (NMRAA) in the Girls Futsal Palaro competition which will kick off at the Ateneo de Cebu gym in Mandaue City, Cebu Province on July 10-15.
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – BULUA National High School Girls Futsal coach Jun Actub and his Lady Strikers are ready to compete against the top young futsal players from other regions in the country in the Palarong Pambansa set to open on July 10-15 in Cebu City.
However, they to face biggest challenge of their lives as they are grouped with the defending champions Central Visayas and the National Capital Region (NCR) in group A of the 12 teams elimination round.

“We are prepared but facing the defending champions CVRAA, represented by Ateneo de Cebu will be a tough order,” coach Jun Actub warned.
The Ateneo de Cebu Girls topped the CVRAA regional futsal meet representing Mandaue City where the Ateneo de Cebu Campus is now located. They defeated a tough Cebu City team in the championship.
The Ateneo de Cebu girls are the defending champion in the Palaro and will be once again be led by 3-time National Youth Football team player Jodi Marie Banzon.

What will add to the woes of the Lady Strikers will be the presence of the perennial powerhouse National Capital Region and another strong contender Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Association (ZPRAA) in Group A.
Defending Palaro champion CVRAA won the gold last year in Marikina City Palaro beating Davao Region Athletic Association (DVRAA) in the championship. Western Visayas finished third.
The Bulua girls representing Cagayan de Oro City in the Regional meet in Camiguin, gained the right to represent Northern Mindanao in the Palaro after beating defending champion Quezon National Comprehensive High School of Quezon, Bukidnon in the championship. 6-4.
Other competing teams in the Palaro are Group B: Davao RAA, Bicol Region AA, Ilocos RAA, and Eastern Visayas RAA. In Group C are Western Visayas RAA, Cagayan Valley RAA, CARAGA, and Region 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN).

Lined up in Group D are Cordillera RAA, CALABARZON, Central Luzon RAA, MIMAROPA and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)
It was an amazing performance for Bulua National High School in the NMRAA meet finishing the elimination round with three wins and one draw record in the five team competition.
The Bulua girls scored a total of 38 goals in the elimination round and added another six in the battle for gold to dominate the regional meet.
They will be led by their prolific scorers Norjean Palatis and Queency Love Canaman who scored 11 and eight goals respectively in Camiguin.
Completing the Cagayan de Oro Bulua team are Mary Grace M. Lapinig, Allyia B. Surposa, Pauleen Louis C. Labita, Sophia Nicole Cereal, Trisha Jett D. Parojinog, Twinkle B. Paid, Rhea Jane O. Liogan, Rhyssa Erliz L. Moreno, Rezel Mae P. Bonifacio, and Gernevie B. Rodrigo.
The faculty of Bulua National High School led by principal Engr. Macapangcat U. Mama has thrown their all out support for the team.
