ILIGAN CITY – In line with the annual city fiesta celebration, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan, Inc. (CCIFII), in partnership with the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), collaborated with the Department of Labor and Employment-10 (DOLE-10) – Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (LDN PFO) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration-10, will hold a two-day Job Fair at the Atrium, Robinsons Place, here, on Sept. 14-15, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Lawyer Safrali Cabili, DOLE-10 LDN PFO OIC-chief, said as of the writing, 671 jobs are available for grabs from 10 private sector establishments.
Top available positions are: nurses (100 vacancies); bus conductors (50); drivers (50); under chassis mechanic (34); and sales associates (20). Other job postings can now be viewed at PESO – Iligan City official Facebook Page.
“As the government continues to boost employment in the city, we, in the Department are glad to be of help to the jobseekers be employed,” Cabili said.
Moreover, Cabili encouraged the jobseekers to prepare their application letters, credentials such as resume, training certificates, passport (if applicable), transcript of records, board exam results/eligibilities (if applicable), certificate of employment and other basic documents in multiple copies to increase their chances of landing a job.

Cabili said the participants must comply with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) requirements like bringing of vaccination cards, wearing and bringing extra face masks, and maintain social distancing between co-applicants at all times during the event, no shaking of hands with interviewers and bringing of own alcohol/sanitizer.
The upcoming fiesta Job Fair is anchored on the theme, “Hello Trabaho Para Sa Pag Asenso, Iliganon.”
The job fair is a DOLE program and a venue where applicants select vacancies suited to their qualifications.
This is a mechanism to fast-tract the meeting of the jobseekers and employers/overseas recruitment agencies to reduce cost, time and effort particularly on the part of the applicants. This is open to all unemployed, skilled and unskilled workers, fresh graduates and displaced workers who lost their job when the pandemic hit.
