Mindanao Today

Mindanaoans and their stories matter to us most

About Us

We are a group of forward-thinking individuals who are committed to bringing newsworthy stories that matter to people from all walks of life not just in Mindanao and the Philippines but all around the world through traditional and online media platforms.

Our company was born in the midst of one of humankind's worse health crises, also at a time when newspaper and other media entities have decided to fold up.

On March 8, 2021, as the country is still reeling from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, we published our maiden issue. With our meager resources and limited staff, we have managed to put out succeeding print and e-paper editions.

Despite the odds stacked against us, we are confident that, young as we are, we will prevail and carry on as chroniclers of current events and as a venue for different voices operating in a free and democratic society.

From the ordinary Filipinos living on the margins of society to the country's movers and shakers and decision makers, we give each of them a space to tell their stories, to weigh in on issues close to their heart.

Our twin publications - Mindanao Today and Mindanao Post - are owned and managed by Oromind Publishing, Inc., with its corporate headquarters based in Cagayan de Oro City. Both papers focus on news and feature stories mainly from around Mindanao, essentially providing readers everywhere a wide perspective and understanding on the island's various peoples and their cultures and aspirations.

Although Mindanao is a vast island, our papers are already circulating in at least 11 major cities and several towns and provinces located in six regions: Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Soccsksargen, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Our papers' sections include but not limited to Regions, Opinion, Nation, Business, Motoring, Economy, Entertainment and Lifestyle, Education, and Sports.

We are also proud to say Mindanao Today and Mindanao Post operate alongside its sister company, the MDN TeleRadyo, an online platform that features a variety of Facebook streaming talk shows hosted by engaging and entertaining anchors whose aim is to educate and inform the public with topics ranging from public service to health and fitness to trading, among many others.
