PANTAR, Lanao del Norte – Four significant events here marked the continuous progress of this town amidst the crisis.
The construction of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Building of Pantar and the construction of a Multi-purpose Hall in Barangay Punod has started on December 23, 2021. The projects also include the expansion of Level II Portable Water System in Barangay Pantao Ranao and Lumba Punod as well as the rehabilitation/improvement of Box Culvert in Barangay Cabasaran.
The projects are implemented under the joint effort of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, the Local Government Unit of Pantar, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) under its Assistance of Municipalities (AM) Program which seeks to assist all municipalities in delivering essential services.
"This project is from the national government, which is also significant to us because you identified and sought for these plans. I have personally seen the development of Pantar and we hope you can sustain its order for with peace there is development," said DILG Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Bruce Colao.
In his message, Pantar Mayor Jabar Tago extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Provincial Government and DILG for the constant support given to him with his pursuit of changing Pantar while sustaining its peace and order. (PIO-LDN | PIA)
