CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Two Oro employees were paid a total of P233,567.61 as monetary claims and separation benefits thru the Single Entry Approach (SEnA) program on 11 November 2022, here.
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) Cagayan de Oro Field Office (CDO FO) Chief Emmanuel Toledo said the employees filed a request for assistance before the office due to illegal dismissal and claim for final and separation pay and other benefits stipulated in their contract of employment.
Toledo said during the first conference on 24 October 2022, the complainant-employees submitted their own computations while the respondent-employer requested the employees to return the company-owned issued laptop.
Consequently, on the second conference, both parties agreed to follow the respondent’s computation and manifested to process and release the claims in the next scheduled conference.
Toledo said one complainant-employee (employee A) received P184,255.94 and the other complainant-employee (employee B), P39,000 as money claims.
Employee A was the Chief Operating Officer and Employee B was the Operating Officer of the same company.
SEnA is an administrative strategy for providing a quick, fair, affordable, and easily accessible resolution process for any labor disputes or difficulties to prevent them from developing into full-fledged disputes or actual labor cases.
The SEnA Desk Officer (SEADO) was in charge of assisting the parties by giving advice, finding solutions, and presenting other options to the issues. (DOLE-10)
