MAMBAJAO, CAMIGUIN – Department of Labor and Employment-10 (DOLE-10), through its Regional Director lawyer Erwin Aquino, turned over P16,159,500 as total worth of salaries for the 3,990 disadvantaged (self-employed; underemployed; and seasonal workers) beneficiaries to Lone District Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo and Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo at the New Capitol Building, Lakas, Poblacion, here, on Jan. 9, 2024.
Aquino said the financial aid is under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers (TUPAD) program of the Department which is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment like canal de-clogging, tree planting, grass cutting, or street for a minimum period of 10 days and a maximum of 90 days.
Each beneficiary will receive P4,050 based on the existing regional daily minimum wage rate after a 10-day work period which commenced on December 22, 2023. (DOLE-10)
