LANAO DEL NORTE – Children aged 3 to 4 years old from different municipalities here showcased their skills and talents in a Children’s Congress on Nov. 24.
After two years since the pandemic, the province joined in the celebration of National Children’s Month again. The daycare children competed in a Folk Dance Competition and a Chorale Contest.
“This event is very important for us to enhance the skills and talents of our 3-4-year-old children who are in our daycare centers in Lanao del Norte,” Annabelle Mendez, provincial social welfare and development officer said.
For the Folk Dance Competition, children from the daycare center of Tubod town won 1st place followed by Sapad town and Lala town. Meanwhile, the day center from Kapatagan town won 1st place in the Chorale Contest followed by Poona Piagapo and Bacolod.
Gov. Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo said that parents should ensure the good health of their children.
“Sa mga ginikanan, dili nato kalimtan ug unsay kaayohan sa atong kabatan-onan. In a conversation, communication sa mga ginikanan sa ilang mga anak is very important,” she said.
